About the Owner:
Michael Maker
Vintage Clothing has always been Michael’s Passion. Old movies, records, and thrift shopping with friends, inspired him to open his first shop at age 19 in Spokane Washington, focusing on 1950’s and 60’s Rock And Roll styles. He later expanded into High-End Vintage Clothing, Folk Art, and Rarities. He now has an accumulated 30 years of experience in the business.
After many years working as a professional Musician, releasing acclaimed albums with Sub Pop and Estrus Records, Michael re-focused primarily on the Vintage Clothing Business, owning and operating successful stores in Seattle and Portland Oregon, spanning over 20 years.
Recently, Michael has ventured to the enigmatic and rugged city of Tacoma Washington, mainly to be closer to his son and see him through his formative years, but also to leave his mark.
Savoy Special Vintage, Tacoma Washington, opened in 2018 and rages on into the future.
